Deciding to see a psychologist can feel like a big step, and we understand that you need to feel confident that you and your child are in safe hands. All our child and family therapists are clinical psychologists that have completed many years of academic training and supervised work, and have Masters and/or Doctorate degrees in clinical psychology. Our child and family psychologists are passionate about what they do, and they’re skilled at engaging children and helping them feel comfortable.
We’re here to help you and your child with whatever difficulties you are experiencing, and we have expertise in treating all forms of anxiety, depression, behavioural and social problems and parenting difficulties. Using only treatments that have been researched and found to work, we implement treatment plans that are practical, positive and tailored especially for your particular child and family. To maximise treatment effectiveness our therapists typically involve parents, and with your permission, we will liaise with others involved with your child (e.g. school) to ensure that everyone is supporting positive change for your child.
Our child and family psychologists’ areas of specialty include:
- Difficulties with attention & concentration
- Behaviour problems including oppositional behaviour
- Anxiety, including worrying, phobias, separation anxiety & OCD
- Coping with bullying/teasing
