About Freya

About Freya

Freya offers an empathic and motivational approach in collaborating with clients to improve their wellbeing. She has experience providing psychological assessment and therapeutic services to children, adolescents and adults. She has worked within school, community, university and hospital settings. As a psychologist in a community outpatient mental health service Freya worked with individuals experiencing difficulties such as depression, anxiety, worry, stress, phobias, panic, grief, bipolar disorder and the psychological effects of trauma. Freya has also delivered psychoeducational group programs to adolescents and adults.

Freya has undertaken seven years of training in psychology. She completed a 3-year Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology at the University of York in England, followed by a 1-year Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a 3-year Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Massey University in New Zealand.

Freya has research experience and ongoing interest in emotion regulation and psychological wellbeing related to physical health conditions. 

In addition to her work at myLife, Freya currently works at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and the paediatric ward at Royal North Shore Hospital.

Freya sees adolescents and adults at our Sydney CBD and Alexandria consultation rooms.
