Meet Georgia

Georgia has a genuine and empathetic therapeutic style, committed to providing a non-judgemental space to achieve therapeutic goals through evidence-based psychological therapy.

Georgia is a Clinical Psychologist with experience working across public, private, educational and not-for-profit sectors. She utilises evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to deliver a structured yet flexible approach to a client’s presenting concerns.

Georgia has an interest in health psychology, in particular substance use and behavioural addictions. She has worked across public health services including a hospital drug and alcohol service and a chronic pain clinic, supporting vulnerable and often stigmatised populations. In addition, Georgia has published work in the area of problem gambling, and has been involved in clinical trials investigating improved treatments for addictions.

In addition, Georgia has experience supporting people with concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment difficulties, personality disorders, bipolar and psychosis. She also has extensive experience addressing workplace stress and burnout.

When not at the clinic, Georgia spends her time supervising student Psychologists through their final years of training. Outside of the therapy space, you’ll find Georgia playing or watching sport, walking her greyhound or trying her hand at anything crafty.
