Doukessa is dedicated to improving her clients’ mental health and wellbeing by providing a positive and empathic therapy relationship and developing her skills in the most up-to-date psychological approaches. She has had a dynamic career and gained wide-ranging experience in community mental health, psychiatry, and mental health research, as well as with executive and life coaching. Doukessa has extensive experience in working with people across the lifespan from adolescents through to older adults.
Doukessa holds a PhD research position for the Australian Research Council Project titled “Rebuilding Life After Migration,” where her expertise in clinical psychology will focus on the psychological wellbeing of immigrant youth in Australia, the USA and Canada.
Doukessa is bilingual and speaks Modern Greek. She’s a good cook and passionate foodie who also loves to read, swim and run. Doukessa’s favourite seasons are autumn and winter.
