About Doukessa

Doukessa is dedicated to improving her clients’ mental health and wellbeing by providing a positive and empathic therapy relationship, and continuously developing her skills in the most up to date psychological approaches.

Doukessa qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2004 and graduated with distinction from the University of Wollongong. Since then, she has had a dynamic career and gained wide-ranging experience in community mental health, psychiatry, mental health research, as well as with executive and life coaching. She has extensive knowledge and experience in working with people across the lifespan from adolescents through to older adults., and she has worked and trained in psychology both in Australia and in the USA.

In addition to her work at myLife, Doukessa is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of South Australia. She holds a research position for the  Australian Research Council Project titled “Rebuilding Life After Migration,” where her expertise in Clinical Psychology will focus on the psychological wellbeing of immigrant youth in Australia, USA and Canada.
