Meet Byron

Byron’s approach to therapy is warm, genuine, curious and transparent. His core commitment to his clients is to provide a nurturing and supportive safe, fostering a sense of trust and safety. He strives to empower his clients with the tools and techniques needed to navigate their personal challenges, ultimately enabling them to make meaningful and lasting positive changes in their lives. Byron draws from a range of therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy, to provide a tailored treatment plan to meet the individual emotional needs and goals of his clients.

Byron has experience providing individual and group therapy to adults and young people across a variety of settings. This has included working with neurodiverse adolescents and young adults in private practice, and working in an inpatient hospital with adults experiencing PTSD, emotion dysregulation, anxiety and persistent depression. He has also worked at a university psychology clinic assisting students and LGBTQ+ clients with anxiety and mood disorder presentations. Byron’s diverse experiences, both professional and personal, inform his empathetic and holistic approach to therapy.

Beyond his passion for psychology, Byron is an avid nature enthusiast, spending his weekends rock climbing, surfing or embarking on scenic bushwalks. He also values quality time with loved ones (including his dog) and finds relaxation in playing guitar and listening to music.
