About Tracey

About Tracey

Tracey is an authentic and creative therapist who is passionate about helping people develop effective coping strategies to manage life’s challenges and improve quality of life. She adopts a person-centred, non-judgemental and collaborative approach to help people feel understood and safe when exploring their problems.

Tracey has worked across a variety of mental health settings including university clinics, forensics, and schools where she gained experience in treating adults and children with concerns including anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, perfectionism and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. She is also a registered nurse with a background in Oncology and homeless health and has a strong interest in the relationship between mental and physical health and the psychological impacts of living with a chronic illness.

Tracey primarily utilises a cognitive-behavioural approach to therapy but also draws on other modalities such as acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness based approaches to suit her client’s needs. She enjoys researching new, creative, evidence based strategies and incorporating them into therapy.

Tracey completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours 1st class) at the Australian Catholic University and a Master of Clinical Psychology at Western Sydney University. Tracey is currently undertaking the Clinical Psychology Registrar program.
